AIM’s Molding Math course was designed to teach you the concepts you need for your job using realistic examples that are found daily in a molding shop. This course can be taken by itself, or serve as a refresher before you jump into one of our Molders’ Series courses or the PTE Program.

The Plastics Bootcamp provides course attendees with the introductory, core information they need to understand the basics of each primary discipline of the plastic injection molding industry and what it takes to make a plastic part.

The Mold Design module gives students an overview of injection molds, including mold terminology and design considerations.

Each module is four hours and runs from 1pm-5pm (EST) daily in English. The Plastic Materials module is designed to give students an overview of various plastic material characteristics.

The Part Design module is designed to give students an overview of strategies and challenges facing plastic part design.

The Simulation Analysis module of our Plastics Bootcamp is designed to give students a basic understanding of simulation and how it is used in the injection molding industry.

Attendees will learn how various hot runner systems function and the critical areas of each.

Molding 2 is a 10-day* injection molding training course for experienced processors. This course includes online reviews. *Two 5-day weeks, separated by 6-8 weeks of online reviews.

This course is applicable to both Moldflow and non-Moldflow users.

The Mold Design+ Bootcamp module is based on the best-selling Runner & Gating Design Handbook by AIM’s founder John P. Beaumont. This module focuses on Runner and Gating Strategies for plastic injection molding. Students can take this module by itself, but is best when coupled with the Mold Design Bootcamp course.

The Injection Molding+ Bootcamp module will teach an innovative way to effectively troubleshoot mold filling and part quality variations utilizing Flow Grouping diagnostic methodologies. This module can be taken by itself, but is best when coupled with the Injection Molding Bootcamp course.
