MoldTrax and the American Injection Molding Institute Team Up for Industry First Mold Performance Technology Conference

MoldTrax and Beaumont’s American Injection Molding (AIM) Institute are excited to announce a brand new, first-of-its-kind conference for the injection molding industry.  The Mold Performance Technology Conference will bring processing and tooling experts together to explore strategies to optimize mold performance and maintain efficiency on many different types of injection molds making products from all industries.

Come and learn from the leading educators in the plastics world and take home new ideas on how to improve your mold performance, maintenance efficiency, and most importantly — your bottom line.

Mold Designers, Tooling and Process Engineers, Managers, Supervisors, Repair Technicians, and Molders will all benefit from this special 3-1/2 day event to be held November 7-10 at the MoldTrax Maintenance Training Center in Ashland, Ohio.

This collaboration came out of a philosophy shared by MoldTrax and AIM, and their leaders Steven Johnson and John Beaumont.  The ability to understand not only product defect positions, but also the shear generated by plastic flow within a mold, is critical to “efficiently produce quality parts on time,” which is the goal of every molder — and a MoldTrax mantra.  Attendees of this conference will gain an increased awareness of how these molding disciplines affect each other, and ultimately the plastic part, so they can better institute proactive strategies to reduce quality concerns and more efficiently troubleshoot performance issues.

Integrated break-out sessions will also allow attendees to view the latest technology in mold cleaning and repair equipment in a world-class mold maintenance facility.  Demonstrations and discussions with representatives from Blue-Wave Ultrasonics, Poly-Blast Plastic Media Blasting, FastHeat Controllers, Alliance Laser Sales and Specialties, Polymer Cleaning Technology, Gesswein, Beaumont Technologies, and more bring an even greater value to this event.

Classes start at 8:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM each day.  A full lunch will be provided, with evening activities planned including a dinner at a local resort and a private, guided tour through the famous Mansfield Reformatory where the movie Shawshank Redemption was filmed.

This conference is expected to sell out fast, and only 24 seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
