AIM Hires Injection Molding Process Instructor

The American Injection Molding (AIM) Institute is excited to announce the addition of Jason Travitz to its team of instructors. As AIM’s Senior Injection Molding Process Engineer, Jason will help support the company’s growth and expansion of course offerings while also contributing to ongoing research in polymer materials, design, and processing. Jason brings over 20 years of experience to his new role.

After graduating from Penn State Erie’s Plastics Engineering Program in 1997, Jason spent much of his career at Molex in Auburn Hills, MI, advancing from a process engineer to a senior mold process engineer. His responsibilities included developing a number of high-precision products and leading their production launch and ongoing manufacturing.

He most recently worked for Apple in Cupertino, CA overseeing new product development and product improvements on connectors for the iPhone7/7s and Apple Pencil. Since 2001, Jason has also utilized his experience and certifications to train industry experts in best practices in injection molding techniques.

“Jason brings and excellent blend of experience and knowledge that includes a solid foundation in polymer materials, mold design, processing and part design,” said John Beaumont, founder and President of the AIM Institute and Beaumont Technologies. “His many career accomplishments speak highly of his capabilities, and we are looking forward to having Jason on board as an industry expert to share his knowledge with future AIM students.”
