Daniel Lopez

Meet Daniel Lopez, Latin America Product & Training Manager/Instructor at the AIM Institute, recently sat down to share more about his life outside of work.

Q: How were you inspired to get into the injection molding industry?
A:
After graduating from university, I began working at a plastic injection molding company. That’s where I received my first formal training, and I quickly discovered how fascinating and dynamic the industry is.

Q: What are some of your favorite hobbies?
A: I enjoy playing baseball and volleyball. I previously coached my son Daniel’s Little League baseball team and am currently a certified volleyball coach. Today, I coach the men’s volleyball team at the sports club managed by my wife, Ana.

Q: Is there something you’ve always wanted to learn or try?
A: I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the piano.

Q: What is your favorite place you’ve traveled to?
A: We love traveling as a family to Riviera Maya during the summer. In the winter, we enjoy going skiing in New Mexico.

Q: Can you share a fun or funny story from your time with AIM/Beaumont/the industry?
A: During one of David Rose’s trips to Mexico, I invited him to try traditional Oaxacan food. We both ordered enchiladas with different sauces—much spicier than expected! Within minutes, our faces were bright red. Luckily, a cold beer saved the day. Another time, we spent more than 30 minutes driving around trying to find a Brazilian restaurant. It turned out to be right in front of us the entire time—there was just no sign outside!
